Once an all-women's bastion, this tiny liberal arts college with “a
strong emphasis on liberal arts and writing proficiency” and a “fantastic”
pre-medical program took the great coed leap about a decade ago. Social
life is laid back and the well-liked administration sponsors a number
or events, including the Blind Date Ball, Goucherfest – an all-campus
celebration, and the Pumpkin Bowl, a “spirited” intra-school
competition.
