Once an all-women's bastion, this tiny liberal arts college with a
strong emphasis on liberal arts and writing proficiency and a fantastic
pre-medical program took the great coed leap about a decade ago. Social
life is laid back and the well-liked administration sponsors a number
or events, including the Blind Date Ball, Goucherfest an all-campus
celebration, and the Pumpkin Bowl, a spirited intra-school
competition.
